Introducing Princess Mulan

Have you ever asked yourself where do Disney stories come from? They usually come to both kids and adults from such gifted writers such as Charles Perrault, Grimm Brothers and Hans Christian Andersen. A long time ago, on a TV channel, there was a quite interesting cartoon in which Hans Christian Andersen was travelling in a wagon throughout Europe and telling stories to children. The coachman was a peculiar man, whose face we could never see, but he was driving the wagon all right and the horses where swift. Thus, while the wagon was running through dark, creepy forests, Andersen would tell us his stories. That is where Disney movies come from. But do they really come only from Europe? It can`t be that only Europe has beautiful princesses with an enchanted story to tell. There should be someone who also has an adventure to share it with us. And that person, that bold, sweet girl comes from China. Have you already guessed who I`m talking about? It`s Mulan, the warrior girl! But since you will be playing as Mulan, let us gently introduce her to you. First, Mulan`s character is based on a historical figure, Hua Mulan, who is a some kind of a legend in China. In the Disney movie, Mulan is a sixteen years old daughter of a war veteran, Fa Zhou. Just like other popular figures in Disney world, at the beginning she spends her life at a farm along with her parents. The village is a cosy place and unlike other Disney princesses, Mulan doesn`t want to leave her village for adventures or for finding her love. But when Huns attack China, the Emperor decides that a man from each family should be conscripted. As her father has a wounded leg from his last battle, Mulan feels that it is her duty to conscript and bring honor to her family. Thus, she cuts her hair short and disguises herself as a man to fight her country. Through her following adventures, Mulan manages to stay strong and display courage and self-confidence. She is the one to save Chinese army from the Huns attack by causing an avalanche. As you will see in the games you will play, Mulan is not alone on her quest. Her friends are beside her. There is Mushu – a rather selfish and impatient, but loyal little dragon who manages to be by Mulan`s side throughout her story. You will be also meeting Cri-Kee and Khan, her father`s loyal horse.
